Hyundai Genesis Turbo Kit Review - ATP bolt on Turbo Upgrade

For our first review, we are going to review the Hyundai Genesis Turbo Kit by ATP.

This kit is a direct bolt on kit, which includes a Garrett internally gated turbo. According to the manufacturer this turbo, "Spools like stock, hits like a hammer, and is capable of over 350 ft/lbs of torque! Great unit if you want up to 300 to 350WHP without lag. All around good street, drag, drift turbo for this engine. Incredibly easy to drive and responds directly to the right foot as there is virtually no waiting for boost. Turbo has a 3" compressor entry."

The installation of this turbo kit was pretty straight forward. Just unbolt the stock turbo from the manifold along with the oil lines and install ATP's turbo. Fitment of the turbo was nice, as we didn't need to modify anything to get the turbo to fit.

The Genesis coupe looks much better with the new turbo installed. We took her out for a quick spin, but realized that the injectors and tune wasn''t up to par. I guess we will need to get new injectors, and and a decent tune before we can really test out this kit. As far as our initial impression, the turbo fits nicely, and the oil/water lines are high quality stainless steel lines. The car seemed to get into boost fairly quickly, but we let off once we saw our AFR's start to creep up.

We took a look on ATP's website, and saw that there dyno charts are showing anywhere from 301 - 330 hp, depending on supporting mods. We haven't been to back that up yet, but we are fairly confident this setup will make right around 300 whp.

We will finish our Hyundai Genesis turbo kit review for ATP's bolt on turbo kit in our next blog.
